Poles can be of below manner as per requirement:

Electric fence should not be installed on top of wall if the wall is lower than 1.5m.

Free Standing Electric Fence:

When there is no wall for fixing fence post then free stand configuration for electric fence is used. In this type of configuration fence post are grouted in the ground. A free stand fence is generally of 2.4m height from the ground level and runs parallel to chain mesh passive fence.

  • The height of fence can be customized as per requirement.
  • This type of configuration is mostly used in Farms for Animal control.

Key Components of an Electric Fence

  1. a) Energizer : The heart of an electric fence system is the energizer, also known as the fence charger. It converts power from a mains source or a battery into short but potent pulses of electricity. Energizers are available in various sizes and power options to suit different requirements.

 

  1. b) Insulators : Insulators are used to support the electrified wires and prevent them from contacting conductive materials, such as fence posts or trees. They ensure that the electric current remains confined to the wires, enhancing the fence’s overall efficiency.

 

  1. c) Wires : Electric fences typically consist of multiple wires, usually made of high-tensile steel or aluminum. These wires are strategically placed at different heights to create a barrier that is difficult to breach. The number and spacing of wires can be adjusted based on the specific security needs.

 

  1. d) Posts : Fence posts are essential for providing support and structure to the electric fence. They can be made of wood, metal, or plastic, depending on the desired durability and conductivity.


e) Grounding : Proper grounding is critical for an electric fence to function effectively. Grounding rods are buried in the ground near the fence, providing a path for the electric current to complete its circuit. This ensures a consistent and reliable electrical pulse throughout the fence.

Laser Fence System

LFS is used to detect intrusion within defined boundaries. It is an active optical fencing system, which uses invisible laser radiation. Interception of radiation due to intrusion is sensed by optical receiver to generate alarm signal. An imaging device can also be integrated with this system for intrusion recording.
